Whether you live in or visit San Antonio on a regular basis, you know the city and region have their own special vibe, and business and social networks. Therefore, if you are seeking great job candidates, becoming familiar with some of those networks can make your job easier.

Network and research to find great candidates

At PrideStaff, we make it our goal to partner with employers and candidates to enable each to have success. To do that we constantly seek to expand our networks within the city and the region. If you are seeking to expand your networks in the area, check our PrideStaff website and consider the following information and suggestions.

  • Make contact with the universities, colleges and training institutes that are active in San Antonio. Officially, the City of San Antonio is the seventh-most populous city in the United States. It is also the second-most populous city in both Texas and in the southern United States. We have top colleges and training institutes seeking to help adult students advance in the work force. The career placement offices at Texas A&M and other schools throughout the region hold regular job fairs and welcome the opportunity to meet employers and assist in ways that can lead to successful career matches for their students.
  • Learn about the colleges in San Antonio that offer certificate programs. The University of Texas offers certificate programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level. These graduates, and graduates of other certificate programs offered in San Antonio, may be just what you are seeking. Check school or college catalogs, and then contact the placement offices of schools whose graduates have the skills you need.
  • Another option is to contact local business networking organizations. These groups welcome business professionals and are often in need of knowledgeable speakers to participate in networking and educational training forums. Examples of groups you might consider contacting are the San Antonio chapter of the eWomen Network and the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Both of these groups are examples of organizations that have city, regional, and even national connections that can lead you to job candidates.
  • If you want the flexibility to check out several ways to find great candidates, consider Friday Networking Lunch San Antonio. Members of the group work in a variety of fields and can offer suggestions at their weekly informal luncheons.
